Using a Stalker Radar Sensor head with an Acura 300mm traffic signal display mounted on a tripod, simply have the officer drive towards the traffic signal and compare the speed reading with the enforcement radar.
For laser or stationary radar guns the operator views the display and compares the speed reading from the gun and the approaching test vehicle shown on the display.
